Nerd.  Mrs. Nerdly Nerdyson.  Yup, that's me.  I'm okay with that.

I lurve to be organized and prepared for each week as it begins with the creation of the weekly menu.

This week's dinner menu looks like this:

Week of October 23, 2017
Monday: noodle kugel (sweet) with frozen veggies (we have a string ensemble concert to attend)
Tuesday: grilled chicken salad (Dan rubs chicken breasts with some mediterranean spice rub and then grills and slices them over a HUGE green salad with craisins, some crunchy sunflower seeds, cukes, and a fig balsamic vinaigrette)
Wednesday: spaghetti and meatballs, steamed broccoli
Thursday: black bean and cheese quesadillas, tomato soup (frozen from a previous meal), and salad

Week of November 11, 2013
Monday: leftover Indian takeout (we had a doctor's appointment)
Tuesday: blackened tilapia, mashed potatoes, roasted cauliflower with turmeric, guacamole (cools some of the spice from the tilapia)
Wednesday: pasta with pumpkin, pine nuts, and goat cheese (I doctored the recipe a bit, added a splash of maple syrup and a pinch of cinnamon, and I used canned pumpkin.  Ain't nobody got time for that)
Thursday:  mini-lamb burgers, roasted kabocha squash and brussels sprouts (so funny, the last time I wrote out our meals we also had lamb burgers on Thursday)
Friday: brisket at Bubbe's house :)
Saturday: having friends over for dinner.  MYO mexican pizzas (with or without cheese), using homemade refried black beans for a shmear, shredded colby jack and topped with your choice of diced grape tomatos, salsa, guac, etc.  Also serving this amazing lentil soup, salad, and cinnamon honey bananas with whipped coconut cream and graham crackers for dessert.

Week of October 7, 2013
Monday:  honey ginger salmon, couscous, steamed green beans
Tuesday:  crepes filled with spinach/mushrooms/onions, salad, fruit (for J)
Wednesday: homemade pizza, tomato soup, salad
Thursday:  lamb burgers, roasted potatos, roasted broccoli

Week of July 8, 2013
Monday:  homemade gnocchi with the best no-added-sugar tomato sauce, salad
Tuesday: turkey burgers, baked sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli
Wednesday: portabello mushroom fajitas
Thursday: (maybe a beach day?) our csa comes on thursdays, so this will be a game time decision

Week of June 10, 2013
Monday: salmon (marinated in a mango vinaigrette, baked and broiled), israeli couscous with chopped onions and portobello, steamed swiss & rainbow chard
Tuesday: basil lime chicken, roasted yellow potatoes, salad
Wednesday: roasted red pepper and goat cheese sauce with pasta, steamed broccoli
Thursday: brinner - turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, fruit salad
Friday: homemade challah, and more tbd on thursday, as usual

Week of June 3, 2013 (so not a slacker, just never remember to update this page)
Monday: baked tilapia with pecan crust, steamed rainbow chard and baked sweet potatos
Tuesday: spinach spaghetti with turkey meatballs, steamed broccoli (*bonus berry crumble with fresh, just picked strawberries)
Wednesday: tofu, eggplant and zucchini stir fry with mushroom rice
Thursday: frittata (waiting to see what we get from our CSA farmshare), tiny red potatos, salad with goat cheese
Friday: TBD on Thursday

Week of January 1, 2013
(in my defense we were away for the past 2 weeks.  prior to that, I have no excuse)
Monday: airline food
Tuesday: chinese food
Wednesday: roasted chicken thighs, steamed broccoli, roasted red potatoes with turmeric
Thursday: lamb burgers, roasted cauliflower, salad w goddess dressing

Week of September 3, 2012
Monday:  bbq leftovers, scrambled eggs with fresh greens, spinach, swiss chard from a friend's garden
Tuesday: fish (whatever is on sale tomorrow) - broiled, couscous with mushrooms, onions, turmeric and fresh herbs, and cauliflower?
Wednesday: chicken fajitas (whole grain tortillas, grilled chicken tenders-optional, peppers/mushroom/onions, black beans, avocado, salsa) with salad
Thursday: Lentil Stew with steamed rice
Friday: wild salmon, veggies

Week of July 30, 2012
Monday:  tuna melts (yellowtail tuna in olive oil from Trader Joe's, monterey jack or swiss for the boys, on bagels or flaxseed/quinoa toast.  for me, tuna/tuscan white bean salad on a multigrain 1/2 bagel topped with gorgeous tomato and avocado slices), corn on the cob **I just looked and saw that we had tuna melts a month ago!  can you say 'recycle'?
Tuesday: breakfast for dinner: eggs, apple chicken sausage (for the boys), leftover brussels and petite-oes
Wednesday: chicken kabobs, turmeric couscous w mushrooms and onions, steamed broccoli
Thursday:  bean burritos (guac, rice, onions, black beans) and salad

Week of June 25, 2012
Monday:  mustard and maple chicken thighs, steamed broccoli and roasted red potatoes
Tuesday:  homemade pizza with shitake mushrooms, salad (with pomegranate vinegar, evoo, honey, dijon, s/p)
Wednesday:  tuna melts (canned tuna in oil, monterey jack cheese, flaxseed and quinoa toast) with edamame
Thursday: brown butter pasta (soba noodles) with baby bok choi and wild mushrooms

So neglectful, I've been.  This week's a bit wacky since we are out Wednesday and Thursday.
Week of June 3, 2012
Monday:  Coconut Shrimp Curry (made with shrimp in 1 pot and chicken in the other) and snap peas
Tuesday:  Lasagna Cups (mini lasagnas made in cupcake tin with wonton wrappers instead of lasagna noodles)

Week of March 26, 2012
Monday:  Roasted Red Pepper & Goat Cheese Alfredo (soba noodles) and salad
Tuesday:  Crepes (filled with balsamic carmelized onions, mushrooms, and spinach) and salad, again
Wednesday: Chicken Tikka Masala, rice (w turmeric), steamed broccoli *you do have to login to foodpop in order to access this recipe
Thursday: Broccoli and Spinach soup with avocado toasts (flaxseed and quinoa bread)

ps. sorry I missed a few weeks.  just imagine lots of brinner.

Week of February 27, 2012
Monday:  Asian Glazed Drumsticks, roasted brussels sprouts with balsamic, mushroom rice (with turmeric)
Tuesday: BRINNER!  Eggs, maple turkey sausage, baked potatoes (leftover from the potatoes I never made last week due to a last minute tuna melt dinner with friends), seedy bread, sugar snap peas
Wednesday:  Mac and cheese, and steamed broccoli (by Judah request)
Thursday: maple chili salmon, orzo and steamy asparagus with toasted slivered almonds and a spritz of lemon juice

Week of February 19, 2012
PIZZA RUSTICA BABY!!! (white pizza with spinach, tomatos and roasted garlic - the car still smells good the next day) plus a salad of organic power greens, red peppers, cukes, sunflower seeds, craisins and goat cheese with a maple balsamic dressing

Tuna melts (grilled cheese for the boy) on flax and quinoa bread, hasselback potatoes (get on Pinterest already, would you??) and sugar snap peas

Pasta e Fagiole et salade

Eggplant Parmesan (baked, not fried) and broccoli

Pineapple and black bean quesadilla and salad

Trolley Car Diner (aka Romper Room for the early crowd's Valentine's Day dinner)

Week of February 5, 2012

turkey burgers (free range, whole wheat buns, sautéed mushrooms & onions), baked sweet potatoes (organic garnet yams), and edamame

WF BOGO bake at home pizza and salad (dressing: balsamic, evoo, and a splash of maple syrup)

winter vegetable soup (thank you pinterest), crunchy paninis with goat cheese

flank steak, steamed broccoli and roasted smashed red potatos

*shabbat dinner with my parents - a team effort, we confer and decide on Thursday...
